More than 30 students from the Asian Polytechnic College completed six weeks of practical training at Ameco Aviation College in October. They represented a 50-percent enrollment increase over the previous year. The program, which began in 2011 and is offered twice a year, includes both mechanical and avionics training. The college also provided electronic skill training earlier this year for another undisclosed domestic customer.
Ameco Aviation College, established in 1991, provides training that incorporates both theory and practical experience. The institution also provides time pressure management, teamwork and Lean project training. Ameco Aviation College has a total enrollment of 1,000 students and is certified by CCAR147 and EASA147. Its basic and skills training course design meet CCAR66; type training meets CCAR66 and EASA66.
