Constant Aviation Offers Reinforced Beechjet Step
The kit is designed to ameliorate 'step drooping.'

Constant Aviation Rotable Exchange (Care), a parts sourcing and distribution company, has a PMA’d kit that reinforces the entry steps of the Beechjet 400A/XP. “Beechjet owners have experienced 'step drooping' for years. The current design does not provide a stable surface for passengers. Oftentimes the step cables will break or the bottom step drops to below a 90 degree angle," said a Care spokesman.

The Care PMA step kit uses better materials to reconstruct the support arms and improve the lower stair stopper bar, he added. Installation takes three to five days, and the company offers complimentary loaner steps during the process.

The Care spokesman told AIN that operators can elect to do an outright exchange for $19,500 or a quick-turn repair, which ranges from $3,000 to $15,000, depending on its condition.
