African Flight Services Provider Selects FBO One
Astra Aviation Services will use linked system to track front- and back-office operations.

Flight support provider Astra Aviation Services recently marked its 10th year in operations throughout Africa with an agreement with Amsterdam Software for use of its FBO One online management and logistics system. Introduced in 2008 and originally intended for business aviation operations, FBO One streamlines company planning, communications and logistics services into a single-point system that monitors individual customer activity, as well as company resources and is accessible online.

Amsterdam Software CEO Ries Vriend noted that Astra Aviation would use FBO One throughout its operations, from front desk operational support and service business, to accounting, human resources and billing needs. Astra Aviation will be among the first companies to use FBO One to support commercial airline and cargo operations, in addition to executive charter.

"Our decision reflects our desire to provide our clients with the highest quality service from operational handling to catering to providing accurate and timely invoicing," added Astra Aviation director and founder Phil Eyre. "The capability to customize it to our own unique service levels is an obvious added advantage enabling us to serve all our client groups." Astra Aviation Services began service in 2005, and currently operates in nine African countries.
