As Textron Aviation expands the services offered at its factory-owned centers, the company has pulled back parts of its authorized service network, a move that includes ending a 41-year relationship with Duncan Aviation as an authorized service provider. As part of the merger of Beechcraft and Cessna, Textron Aviation has been adding capabilities to the combined centers, enabling them to provide more comprehensive services across the product line.
The company expects this expansion effort will continue throughout the year. At the same time, though, it notes that it âcontinues to assess what its service footprint requirements will be going forward.â This includes an emphasis on âmaintaining and growing direct relationships with customers where possible.â
Duncan, which lost its authorized status at the end of last year, had been an approved service provider for Citations at both its Lincoln, Neb., and Battle Creek, Mich. facilities. However, the company noted that it is continuing to provide maintenance, completions, modifications and parts support (including Cessna ProParts) for Cessna aircraft. âDuncan Aviation and Textron Aviation have enjoyed a long and successful relationship, and we both are committed to the satisfaction and service of our customers,â Duncan said. âAlthough we are no longer a Cessna-authorized service centerâŚour goal is to continue to provide our Cessna customers with the great service and support they have come to expect.â
