Jet Aviation Saudi Arabia Adds Battery Maintenance Shop
MRO can check, charge and overhaul most aircraft batteries.

Jet Aviation Saudi Arabia recently added a new nickel-cadmium (NiCad) battery shop to its facilities, allowing it to check, charge and overhaul most battery models at its Jeddah facility rather than outsourcing the work. “We are pleased to introduce an in-house battery service for our customers in Jeddah and Riyadh,” said Alain Champonnois, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Saudi Arabia. “Our goal is to provide our clients the best support possible, and the battery shop is our latest initiative aimed at improving efficiency and reducing aircraft downtime.”

Jet Aviation Saudi Arabia is a long-standing joint venture company with Saudi Arabian partners and was the first company to set up an FBO in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The company has three FBOs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Jeddah, Riyadh and Medina.

The facilities in Jeddah and Riyadh hold Saudi Arabian GACA licenses and offer FBO services, line maintenance and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) services. Jet Aviation's ground handling services at Medina include passenger handling, immigration and customs clearance, transportation, hotel and catering coordination, aircraft refueling, cleaning and turnaround assistance.
