Safe Flight’s AutoPower autothrottle system, which has been selected for the remanufactured Nextant 400XTi, is in the final phase of certification, with production deliveries scheduled to begin by the end of this month. Nextant is reporting a strong order book for the autothrottles for new 400XTis, though they can also be retrofitted on in-service 400XT/XTis. PlaneSense, the launch customer for the AutoPower-equipped Nextant 400XTi, has firm orders for two of the Nextant jets and options for three more. Two undisclosed customers also selected for their new 400XTis that will be delivered later this year, said Nextant.

The result is a full-regime automatic throttle system optimized for our aircraft.”

Safe Flight's authothrottle reduces crew workload by allowing a stabilized speed target that provides more consistent approaches. To date, more than 10,000 Safe Flight AutoPower systems are in service on a variety of jets.
