Aviation Fabricators (AvFab) received Russian approval for the installation of its King Air aft jump seat kits in the Beechcraft King Air B300 and 350. The company already holds STC approval for the kit from regulators in the U.S., Europe, Brazil, Mexico, Canada and Indonesia.
The jump seats fold down from the side wall of the aircraft in the aft baggage compartment. The seats are interchangeable with the OEM jump seat and can use the existing OEM hardware if the aircraft is so equipped. If the aircraft has not been previously equipped with an installation kit, the AvFab kit can be used to make the installation.
The kit includes all installation hardware, brackets, parts, the seat (un-upholstered), complete restraint system, life vest, overhead lights, vents, oxygen drop-downs and installation instructions. AvFab generally has kits in stock and available for immediate worldwide shipment. It also provides inspection, repair and overhaul of corporate and special-mission aircraft interior parts and components, and is an FAA-PMA producer of custom aircraft seating, parts and components.
“This approval is another big product milestone,” said AvFab’s G.R. Lowe. “Now operators in Russia will be able to realize the significant versatile advantage of adding our aft jump seat kits to their aircraft. We will continue to add more and more countries to our list of approvals for the seats.”
