OneJet is a scheduled air charter service flying Hawker 400XPs under FAR Part 135 with DOT Part 380 “economic authority.” It started operations earlier this month on a Milwaukee-Indianapolis route and plans to add nonstop service between Pittsburgh and the two Midwest cities within the next two weeks. OneJet currently has three 400XPs, all operated by partner Pentastar Aviation, and plans to add one more per month to its fleet starting in June. The 400XPs are configured to carry seven passengers and were chosen for their “operating economics, reliability and cabin comfort,” a spokesman told AIN.

Nonstop service between Milwaukee General Mitchell International Airport and Indianapolis International Airport began on April 6. Flights between Pittsburgh International Airport and Milwaukee will start on Monday, with the Pittsburgh-Indianapolis route starting a week later. Like the Milwaukee-Indianapolis segment, the new routes will be offered four times weekly, Monday through Thursday, with morning flights going to Pittsburgh and afternoon flights returning to either Milwaukee or Indianapolis. OneJet plans to announce further route expansion next week, the spokesman noted.

“We’re excited to announce nonstop service between these three great cities,” said OneJet president and CEO Matt Maguire. “The market for regional nonstop travel is strong and we’ve put together a great new service to respond to that demand. Our goal is to provide our customers with a familiar air travel experience but in a way that lets us allocate our assets dynamically in response to demand. The combination means more choice for travelers to and from Indianapolis, Milwaukee and Pittsburgh and, ultimately, throughout the eastern U.S.”

Tickets for the new service are available for purchase through corporate and online retailers, including American Express Global Business Travel, Carlson Wagonlit and Expedia. “Fares vary based on demand forecasting, but in general they can range from lowest coach to three times that price,” the spokesman said. “We will seek to price our product to make it attractive to travelers, particularly those who value the convenience and time-saving aspect of nonstop travel.”
