Spectrum Aeromed Displays Pilatus PC-12NG Air Ambulance
Aeromed was recently named China’s “Air Ambulance Provider of the Year.”
Highlighting light aircraft for air ambulance and other emergency use is seen as one way to help negotiate more open airspace in China.

A Pilatus PC-12 NG turboprop outfitted with an air ambulance interior created by Spectrum Aeromed is parked in the Static Display here at ABACE 2015, as it makes a stop on the aircraft’s tour of Asia. “The opportunity to feature our product at ABACE is a great opportunity to show the Asian market what our products are capable of,” said Chad Kost, COO of the North Dakota-based company. “We look forward to showcasing our product throughout Asia.”

Spectrum Aeromed was recently named China’s “Air Ambulance (Interior) Provider of the Year,” following a presentation by the company’s Thomas Redder made at last year’s ABACE. Redder provided an overview of air ambulance operations, explained the need for such services in the region, and detailed how the necessary specialized equipment can be installed. “We take great care in not only showcasing our medical interiors around the world, but also taking time to educate emerging markets on how quickly and easily air ambulance programs can begin operations,” said Redder. “This award not only is a reflection on our commitment to serving the needs of the people in Asia, but also reiterates our mission to help save lives around the world.”

Kost said the PC-12 is just one of a wide range of aircraft that can be outfitted with Spectrum Aeromed equipment. “Our products can be easily installed in both rotorcraft and fixed-wing aircraft and we know that is vital to many emerging markets seeking to add air ambulances,” he said, adding, “We can work with heads of state, private owners and government agencies to equip their aircraft with the necessary medical interiors for air ambulances.”

Company representatives are eager to share more information about air ambulance equipment with attendees here, and with the Pilatus continuing its Asian tour after ABACE. “We look forward to meeting with customers throughout Asia,” said Kost.
