FAA Expands Duncan Aviation’s ODA Authority
The ability to accept ICAs will allow Duncan Aviation to better control schedules and manage project milestones

Duncan Aviation recently earned approval from the FAA to accept instructions for continued airworthiness (ICA) for supplemental type certificates (STCs). ICAs are but one of many steps in the process of developing an STC as an organization designation authorization (ODA).

To earn this recognition, Duncan Aviation was required to develop specific training geared toward acceptance of the ICAs in accordance with current guidance. In addition, the company appointed individuals with appropriate knowledge and training of the ICA process and put a robust process in place to manage the new authority.

The ability to accept ICAs will allow Duncan Aviation to better control schedules and manage project milestones.

Duncan Aviation also holds ODA authority for STC, parts manufacturing approval and major repair and alteration.
