P&WC Secures Transport Canada Approval for PW306D1
Approval marks milestone toward entry into service on Citation Latitude.

Pratt & Whitney Canada has earned Transport Canada approval of its PW306D1 turbofan. The 5,907-pound-thrust PW306D1 will power the Citation Latitude, which is expected to enter service in the second quarter of 2015. FAA approval for this engine is expected in the first quarter, the company said.  The engine, the latest iteration of P&WC’s PW300 family, was announced as the engine for Cessna’s new midsize jet during the 2011 NBAA annual meeting and convention in Las Vegas.
