British Helicopter Pilots Worry About Safety

The British Airline Pilots Association, which represents offshore helicopter pilots in the region, is worried that tumbling oil prices are putting pressure on companies to cut costs, placing the safety of pilots and oil workers at risk. The pilots’ union last week reiterated its call for a public inquiry on the impact of commercial pressures on offshore helicopter safety following a series of fatal accidents in the last five years.
