London Executive Aviation (LEA) was granted Part 129 status from the U.S. Department of Transportation, clearing the charter company to operate unrestricted flights between the European Union and the U.S. With the status, LEA is planning to expand its transatlantic flights. “We are seeing increased demand for transatlantic charter flights,” said Chris Watson, commercial manager of LEA. Separately, LEA received electronic flight bag approval using iPads to store the information, including aircraft flight manuals, flight crew manuals and charts.
