Geneva-based TAG Aviation has been granted EASA Part 21 Subject J design organization approval (DOA). The designation entitles the MRO to design, certify and approve aircraft modifications and repairs for small and large business aircraft.
The scope of approval encompasses cabin interiors, galleys, avionics and secondary structures. It enables TAG Aviation to tackle cabin upgrades and refurbishment and avionics upgrades such as SwiftBroadband satcom and controller-pilot datalink communications. TAG Aviation will also be able to perform more extensive modifications under STCs.
“The Part 21 approval permits TAG Aviation to meet specific client needs with better reactivity but also with in-house experts to define the most suitable solutions for clients,” said Guillaume Perez, TAG Aviation’s design organization manager. “It underpins our strong knowledge of EASA requirements in terms of certifications and complements the level of expertise we offer our aircraft management, maintenance and Camo clients.”
Part 21 DOA complements TAG Aviation’s Part 21 production organization approval for cabin interiors.
