Pratt & Whitney Canada has named Dallas Airmotive and H+S Aviation, both BBA Aviation companies, designated overhaul facilities (DOF) for the repair and overhaul of several turboshaft engine models.
Chris Pratt, director of market analysis and communications for BBA Aviationâs aftermarket services division, told AIN, âOur new engine test facility will be located at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport alongside a new facility that will serve as the companyâs rotary-wing engine MRO site.â Dallas Airmotive was recently awarded DOF authorization for North America for the PW200 and PW210. It will also move its existing PT6T authorization to the DFW site. The facility is expected to be operational in the first half of next year.
H+S Aviation also recently received DOF authorization for the Middle East region for the PW200, PW210, PT6C and PT6T. The Portsmouth, UK-based company is in the process of establishing an MRO facility in the Middle East. That facility is scheduled to be ready for repair and overhaul services by year-end, with full test capability in next yearâs first half.
H+S Aviation has been a DOF for Europe for the PT6T in Portsmouth since 2009.
