Exhibitor registration for LABACE 2014 opened yesterday, less than three months before Latin America’s largest business aviation show takes place at São Paulo Congonhas Airport from August 12 to 14. Exhibitors must sign up and pay before June 6 for priority in the exhibit space drawing on June 10.
According to show organizer Associação Brasileira de Aviação Geral (Abag), the delay in opening registrations was attributable to environmental permits and perennial uncertainty about the availability of space at Congonhas Airport. LABACE sales manager Rogério Sautner said he has kept in touch with exhibitors throughout the delay, and some contracts for this year’s event have already arrived.
The space available for LABACE 2014 is the same as in prior years, with a reduction in the exhibit hangar offset by an increase in the outdoor stand area at the show entrance. Last year’s decline to 14,000 visitors was the first in the show’s 11-year history, but Rogério ascribes the drop to bad weather and a policy tilt toward more qualified visitors, increased fees and restrictions on free and discounted student admissions.
