OEMs Prepare To Support Football Fans at Super Bowl

As Super Bowl XLVIII approaches, major business aircraft manufacturers are putting plans in place in the New York area to support their operators who are in town for the game. Here’s what’s in the works to help ensure the worst thing you have to worry about is what happens to your team on the field.

Beechcraft

The Beechcraft quick-response team (QRT) will be on call to support Hawker and Beechcraft customers. The support staff will be located at Hawker Beechcraft Services in Wilmington, while technical representatives located throughout the region will be available for immediate response to an AOG event or other service requirements. The QRT can draw on the resources of the entire Global Customer Support network, including parts and maintenance resources. Operators can get in touch with the QRT by telephone at (866) AOG-HELP (264-4357).

Bombardier

Two Bombardier mobile response parties (MRP) will be dispatched to the area. Staffed by an avionics technician and a maintenance technician, each MRP is equipped with tools and diagnostics equipment for all Bombardier business aircraft. Bombardier will also have two on-site field service representatives and dispatch additional support from its Hartford service center as required.

Embraer

Embraer Executive Jet Services will dispatch its mobile repair unit from Windsor Locks, Conn. An Embraer AOG crew is immediately available by calling (860) 308-3672 or sending an email to aogeejsbdl@embraer.com.

Gulfstream

In the days leading up to, during and after the Sunday evening event, Gulfstream will have seven field and airborne support team (Fast) technicians operating between the Jet Aviation FBO at Teterboro Airport, N.J., and a yet-to-be determined FBO at Westchester County Airport in White Plains, NY. The technicians will be able to address mechanical, avionics and/or interior issues, and can work directly out of two of the company’s specially outfitted Fast maintenance vehicles. The vehicles, which will be positioned at Teterboro and Westchester airports, will include parts/materials, tooling and ground support equipment.

Dassault

Dassault is dedicating extra technical support personnel and Falcon go-teams before, during and after the Super Bowl. The Dassault headquarters for Western Hemisphere customer support–and the company’s largest Falcon spares depot–is located at Teterboro, the main business aviation gateway to the Super Bowl.
