Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services North America has been named a Eurocopter service center for the AS332 Super Puma. The certification includes O&I and I+ airframe servicing and allows Vector to perform major inspections, upgrades and retrofits.
The primary focus will be on N-registered helicopters based in North America. According to Vector Aerospace, the approval was obtained less than one year after the certification process start-up and was achieved with the full support of parent company Eurocopter.
In parallel with receiving the North American service center approval, Vector has begun to overhaul, retrofit and update Super Pumas at its operation in Langley, British Columbia, for two different customers. Vector has completed five aircraft thus far, with the first–a Super Puma AS332L1–provided to Rainier Heli International. The remaining four were delivered to Vector Financial Services in utility configurations and join a fleet available for lease to utility operators worldwide.
