Bombardier Adds Nigerian Service Facility

ExecuJet Nigeria in Lagos has been named a Bombardier Aerospace line maintenance facility. The designation includes the Challenger 300, Challenger 604, Challenger 605, Global 5000, Global 6000, Global Express and Global Express XRS. The facility will complement ExecuJet’s center in Lanseria, South Africa, which has been part of Bombardier’s authorized service facility network since 2002.

ExecuJet has been providing maintenance services for business aviation in Lagos for the last year and for more than 10 years at its Lanseria International Airport location in Johannesburg.

The Nigerian facility, located at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, includes a 50,590-sq-ft maintenance hangar and 274,479 sq ft of apron.

“We are honored to have been appointed a maintenance facility by Bombardier. Having obtained AMO certification from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authorities and South African line station authorization, it is our intention to become [fully] EASA certified this year and we’re aiming to achieve that status by the end of the second quarter,” said Ettore Poggi, managing director of ExecuJet Africa.

The appointment brings the number of worldwide Bombardier authorized service and line maintenance facilities to more than 60.
