
For the seventh consecutive year Bell Helicopter has been named number one in helicopter product support in the AIN
. Bell Helicopter topped the scores in nine of 10 categories surveyed and strengthened its position by 4 percent compared with 2011.Customers ranked Bell Helicopter first in terms of authorized service centers, parts availability, cost of parts, AOG response, warranty fulfillment, technical manuals, technical representatives, maintenance tracking programs and overall aircraft reliability. The rating system designates 10 as excellent and 1 as poor.
“We are honored to receive this recognition and highly motivated to continue raising the bar in terms of supporting our customers. We constantly seek new and innovative solutions to ensure mission success for our operators,” said Eric Cardinali, Bell Helicopter’s executive vice president of customer support and services. The survey also named Gulfstream Aerospace’s large-cabin jets as tops in aftermarket service for newer and older aircraft combined, with an 8.2 overall average. In the turboprop category Mitsubishi’s MU-2 ranked number one, with a 1-percent drop this year to 9.3.
