Bombardier Schedules Safety Standdown for Brazil

The ninth annual Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition in SĂŁo Paulo, Brazil, will be the site for an expanded Bombardier Aerospace Safety Standdown Latin America. The two-day seminar will take place August 13 and 14 at the Grand Hyatt SĂŁo Paulo Hotel.

In its third year in Latin America, Bombardier’s Safety Standdown will expand from last year’s single-day general session to include a half day of workshops designed to give attendees an opportunity to gain further knowledge in a small classroom setting on topics not covered in the general session.

“The Latin American market continues to grow, and LABACE provides us with the perfect opportunity to share the principles of Safety Standdown with a wide audience of industry professionals,” said Steve Ridolfi, president of Bombardier Business Aircraft. This year’s Latin America edition will feature Capt. Gene Cernan, U.S. Navy (ret.) and commander of Apollo 17; Dr. Tony Kern, CEO and managing partner of Convergent Performance, on safety culture; and Glenn Harmon, associate professor of aeronautical science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, on combating fatigue issues, among others.
