The success of the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) in drawing the fast-expanding bizav community from around the world begs the question as to whether it is time for the event to be rebranded as GBACE–as in Global Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition. The 12th annual EBACE, staged as ever in Geneva, from May 14-16, drew 12,638 attendees from some 99 countries. This was only marginally down on the numbers for 2011–hardly surprising given the bumpy economic times that Europe is still enduring. The exhibitor count was 491 (slightly up on 2011) and they occupied a record-breaking 2,280 booth spaces across the show’s three halls.
