Ameco Starts Finnair Line Maintenance in Chongqing
Ameco will be supporting Finnair A330s at its Chongqing outstation.

Ameco (Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Corp) Beijing has added a third international customer to its Chongqing outstation. Earlier this month the MRO provider entered into a contract with Finnair to support the airline’s four-times-weekly A330 flight to the airport. Ameco Beijing’s Chongqing facility also supports Qatar Airways and TNT.

The MRO has had a working relationship with Finnair since 1997 and been directly providing support for the airline at its Guangzhou and Shanghai bases since 2005 and 2009, respectively. Ameco offers line maintenance and letter checks for more than 60 customers at its six outstations, located in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Tianjin, Qingdao and Chengdu.

Ameco Beijing was established in 1989 as a joint venture between Air China and Lufthansa German Airlines. It provides maintenance, repair and overhaul services for airframes, engines and components of commercial aircraft. The MRO is certified by (among others) the CAAC, FAA and EASA; it holds designated modification design organization status authorized by CAAC, and offers engineering and logistics services, GSE calibration and technical training.
