Avcom's Moscow-based shared-use program Jet Travel Club (JTC) officially started operations last week. JTC members can make non-commercial flights on the club’s two CitationJets and two Hawkers and use an area in the VIP terminal at Moscow-Domodedovo Airport. Membership is not limited to Russian nationals; foreign citizens can buy a JTC card for access to the club’s Russian-registered business jets.

The company is targeting its product at entrepreneurs who do business across Russia and fly business class on the airlines. “For entrepreneurs following a dynamic lifestyle,” said Avcom founder Eugeny Bakhtin, “unproductive time losses [on the airlines] are unwanted. Through the club they can save time.”

Avcom said its program will widen business aviation to those who do not have the money or the requirement to buy their own aircraft. “The club attracts those who count the money: airline business class and charters are more expensive. Besides, you can control expenses related to VIP lounges in destination airports, payments for crews and catering,” Bakhtin said.
