Workers Hurt When Hangar-in-construction Collapses

Two hangar construction workers were injured yesterday–one critically–when the steel frame of a new hangar they were erecting collapsed at Paulding County Airport, northwest of Atlanta. Winds were reported to have been gusting to more than 25 mph just before the structure fell. Under construction for the Paulding Jet Center (the airport’s FBO), the 35,000-sq-ft hangar was expected to be completed next month. OSHA is investigating.
