It discusses the potential consequences of improper tire pressure on aircraft while taxiing, taking off and landing. “Aircraft tires are designed to carry specified loads during a variety of temperatures and wheel speeds. When aircraft tires are improperly serviced they are severely compromised and catastrophic consequences can occur,” it says. The Safo highlights a <a href="?q=node/18109">Learjet 60 that overran a runway</a> due to inadequate tire maintenance.
