Bell Helicopter yesterday announced that its six support and service subsidiaries have been integrated and rebranded to eliminate confusion and simplify customer buying choices. Customer service and support currently accounts for one-third of the company’s revenue. Bell CEO John Garrison said the move would make it easier for the company to offer customers integrated solutions throughout a helicopter’s lifecycle. The affected subsidiaries include Edwards & Associates and Aeronautical Accessories in Piney Flats, Tenn.; Broussard, La.-based Rotor Blades; Acadian Composites of Lafayette, La.; Bell Aerospace Services in Bedford, Texas; and Ozark, Ala.-based US Helicopter. While all are now rebranded under the Bell Helicopter nameplate, the company will continue to offer parts and accessories under the Aeronautical Accessories brand. Affiliates McTurbine of Corpus Christi, Texas; SkyBooks of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Edwards Rotorcraft Solutions in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., were not part of the rebranding effort, though these firms will be integrated as service offerings to Bell customers.
