Lufthansa Technik Aero Alzey (LTAA) and Air Mauritius have signed an exclusive agreement for the maintenance, repair and overhaul services of the airline’s ATR fleet powered by the P&WC PW127. The ATRs are used mainly to connect Mauritius with regional islands Rodrigues and Reunion. “The contract lasts three years and covers five aircraft,” Jacques Gentil, Lufthansa Technik Aero’s executive v-p of technical services, told AIN. “Lufthansa Technik Aero’s extensive experience with the PW127, and particularly in the demanding environment of our area of operation, makes them essential,” said a spokesman for the airline. According to Gentil, Lufthansa Technik and Air Mauritius have a long history of close cooperation. LTAA specializes in the maintenance of engines for regional aircraft. The company’s portfolio includes maintenance, repair and overhaul services for the General Electric CF34-1, -3, -8 and -10, the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100/150 and the PW901A auxiliary power unit (APU). In addition, Lufthansa Technik Aero Alzey provides engineering/warranty services, MRO for wheels and brakes and logistical and consulting services.
