Airshow organizer F&E Aerospace is expecting some 7,000 attendees–a record number–at the Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) show next week in Dubai. The three-day show, which opens on Tuesday, is organized on behalf of the Middle East Business Aviation Association and will feature 338 exhibitors at the Dubai Airport Expo and about 70 business aircraft on static display just outside the convention center. Business aviation manufacturers exhibiting at MEBA include Boeing Business Jets, Airbus Corporate Jetliner, Gulfstream, Dassault, Bombardier, Embraer, Cessna and Hawker Beechcraft. In addition, leading Middle Eastern aviation companies will be represented at the show. The Embraer Legacy 650 and Airbus A318 Elite will make their MEBA debut at the show’s static park. “The show is also a must-attend event for people who are interested in finding out how they can use corporate aircraft as a cost-effective and viable business tool,” said F&E managing director Alison Weller. The last MEBA show, held in November 2008, attracted 250 exhibitors from 30 countries and more than 5,500 visitors and was the venue for more than $1.5 billion in orders. AIN will be on-site at MEBA in full force, publishing daily print issues of MEBA Convention News next Tuesday through Thursday, daily editions of AINalerts next Monday through Thursday and real-time news–as well as videos, audiocasts and blogs–on AINonline.
