Timco Aviation Services has announced that Timco Aerosystems’ interiors engineering and manufacturing division will be expanding its operations by adding a new facility in Wallburg, N.C. The company will invest $2.75 million and create about 275 new jobs over the next five years. The decision comes as the company continues to expand its business producing aircraft interior products. A company spokesman cited increasing demand for the company’s new line of FeatherWeight galleys, lavatories and passenger seating. The expansion will be aided in part by unspecified development incentive support from the State of North Carolina, North Carolina Community Colleges, Davidson County and the Town of Wallburg. As part of the incentive package Timco must meet progressive milestones on new job creation and performance in coming years. “The decision to locate our expansion in North Carolina was made easier by the incredible partnership of state and local officials. Opportunities for growth in our segment of the aerospace sector have not been plentiful in recent years so it is great that our partners share our vision and desire to take advantage of this one,” said Kevin Carter, co-CEO of Timco.
