Ikhana Group is rebranding its subsidiaries RW Martin and Total Aircraft Services; both will operate under the Ikhana Group brand. The company specializes in special-mission turboprops and business jets, particularly DHC-6 Twin Otter, King Air and Gulfstream airframes. “We underwent a merger about three years ago that allows us to perform both engineering and installation,” a spokesman for the company told AIN. “Customers would come to us with a project; we’d do the engineering, and then send the aircraft to our other facility to do the actual work. It was confusing to have different names.” Headquartered at French Valley Airport in Murrieta, Calif., Ikhana’s 45,000-sq-ft facility offers aircraft modification, heavy maintenance and major repair operations. Ikhana’s aircraft engineering services operate out of a 6,000-sq-ft facility adjacent to Van Nuys Airport. “We’re currently developing new products, particularly in the Twin Otter area. Using STCs we re-life the aircraft with a new wing and add bigger engines, which also yields a max-takeoff-weight increase. The project allows us to zero time the aircraft,” he said.
