Sikorsky Aerospace Services (SAS), an aftermarket division of Sikorsky Aircraft, has acquired Woodland, Wash.-based LifePort, a major accessories manufacturer specializing in air medical systems, interior furnishings and lightweight armor for fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. The acquisition further strengthens SAS’s accessories business segment. LifePort, which had been privately held, will operate as “LifePort, a Sikorsky Aerospace Services Company” and retain its current executive management team. In addition to its primary headquarters facility and plant in Woodland, LifePort operates Enflite in Georgetown, Texas, where it manufactures mechanical devices and interior components for executive aircraft. In 2009, LifePort had revenues of about $65 million. “This acquisition illustrates and reaffirms our commitment to offer solutions that are tailored to fit each customer’s requirements,” said SAS president David Adler. Terms of the acquisition were not available.
