Jet Aviation Moscow Vnukovo recently became an independent Russian legal entity and can now perform maintenance services under its own EASA 145 maintenance approval. The approval gives “us greater flexibility to tailor our portfolio of aircraft services to better match our customer fleet profile and requirements,” said managing director Ian Ludlow.
The facility at Vnukovo International Airport provides 24/7 technical maintenance services, including line maintenance, defect rectification and AOG services, to Bombardier, Gulfstream, Embraer and Hawker aircraft operators. Located next to the Vnukovo 3 FBO, the facility currently holds maintenance approvals from EASA Part 145.0472, Aruba DCA and Bermuda DCA.
On the other side of the world, Jet Aviation Sorocaba in Brazil has begun maintenance operations and received Brazilian ANAC repair station certification. This approval allows the facility to perform line maintenance, engine and airframe inspections, and repairs for Gulfstream 200 aircraft. Jet Aviation plans to add the GV, G450 and G550 to the list.
“The G200 is just the first step in our growth plans for the region,” said Jet Aviation U.S. president Gary Dempsey. “We will apply for FAA certification this year, and are in discussions with other aircraft manufacturers for new authorizations to follow shortly.”
Jet Aviation has also set up a new toll-free hotline to assist aircraft operators with “any and all emergency and/or AOG situations.” Calls to the hotline number (+1-877-313-5999) are answered 24/7 by a qualified member of Midcoast Aviation’s MRO division in East Cahokia, Illinois. Midcoast Aviation is a subsidiary of Jet Aviation and is a maintenance, modifications and completions provider.
“We do everything we can to assist that customer,” said Skip Madsen, v-p of Midcoast’s MRO operations. If necessary, he added, “Midcoast will dispatch a mobile maintenance team to assist with AOG situations in the field or at an aircraft’s home base of operations.
