The Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) exhibition and conference scheduled for December 7 to 9 will be the largest such event to date, predicts F&E Aerospace, which is organizing the show at Dubai’s Airport Expo on behalf of the Middle East Business Aviation Association.
The last MEBA event, held in November 2008, featured about 250 exhibitors from 30 countries, attracted more than 5,500 visitors and resulted in deals worth more than $1.5 billion (U.S.). This year, the organizers expect about 350 exhibitors, including such first-timers as Honeywell, AN Aviation and Rizon Jet and returning companies such as Abu Dhabi Airports Co., Jet Aviation, Sikorsky and Al Jaber Aviation.
A static display is set to include as many as 85 business aircraft and will also feature more company pavilions than did previous shows.
In a first for the Middle East region, the MEBA show also will host the annual meeting of the International Business Aviation Council’s governing body. The meeting has traditionally been held in the U.S. or Europe.
F&E Aerospace, which is exhibiting here at EBACE (Booth No. 959), is a division of F&E, which manages trade events worldwide. “With a recent report predicting an annual growth rate for the Middle East business aviation market of more than 6 percent over the next 10 years, the region will surely see an increase in business aviation service providers to cater to this demand,” said F&E Aerospace managing director Alison Weller.
“MEBA 2010 is, therefore, well placed to provide a forum for the region’s industry players to come together to decide on products and services going forward to service the growth in the business aviation industry over the next decade.”
AIN will once again publish its award-winning daily show editions at the MEBA event, as well as provide constant news updates online at www.ainonline.com.
