At a time when operators are closely watching how every euro is spent, Elliott Aviation is offering a broad range of aircraft upgrades that help owners extend the useful life of older airframes and make the most of their investments. Here at EBACE (Booth No. 1463), the U.S. company is showcasing recent projects, including a fully refurbished European-registered Beechjet 400 and the first European-registered King Air B200 twin turboprop to receive Garmin’s G1000 integrated avionics suite glass cockpit.

“Elliott Aviation has long been known for its expertise in avionics upgrades
but we also offer a sophisticated aftermarket paint facility and employ some of
the most skilled interiors craftsmen in the world,” Jeff White, Elliott Aviation v-p of sales, marketing and business development, told AIN.

White also noted that economic conditions around the world have made acquiring and upgrading pre-owned, aircraft an attractive option for businesses seeking greater value. “We offer our customers a complete turnkey acquisition service for pre-owned aircraft that is both cost-effective and efficient,” he said. “We handle everything from the initial acquisition and prepurchase inspection to post-purchase modifications and final delivery of the aircraft in like-new condition.”

The Beechjet being displayed at EBACE highlights a new custom-designed 400XP-style interior and paint as well as installation of a new digital flight data recorder. The company received a supplemental type certificate from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration in January and is expecting certification by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) later this year.

The complete aircraft refurbishment includes a seat reconfiguration that moved the lavatory to the aft section of the aircraft as well as design, fabrication and installation of custom drink rails, tables, galley, pleated window shades, LED lighting, new seat upholstery, headliners and carpet. The Beechjet also received a full strip and paint job in Elliott’s downdraft paint facility.

The company has also installed a Garmin G1000 in a Norway-based King Air B200, making it the first EU-registered King Air to feature the retrofit pending Garmin’s receipt of EASA certification. According to White, the company has performed more G1000 retrofits in King Airs than any other company and was the first authorized facility to install the device in a B200 model.

Elliott, which is based at Quad City International Airport in Moline, Illinois, also offers Blackhawk high-performance engines and numerous Raisbeck performance-enhancing modifications for King Airs. In all, the company holds 14 supplemental type certificates from EASA, including avionics upgrades for Beechjet, King Air and Falcon aircraft.
