Uniflight, a Bell Helicopter customer service facility and American Eurocopter customer service center, has launched a new operation to serve fleet operators in the Northeastern U.S. from its location at Reading Regional Airport, Pa. A division of Uniflight, the new operations will do business as Uniflight Northeast. According to the company, the location in Reading establishes a strategic partnership with Millennium Aviation, an FBO, fixed-wing charter operator and fleet manager. In addition, rotorcraft veteran Steve Weinert has joined Uniflight Northeast as director of maintenance. Uniflight chairman Joseph Hawke said, “We set our sights on establishing Northeastern U.S. operations ever since the initial acquisition of Uniflight almost two years ago. After considering numerous possibilities, we decided that Reading was the best location from which to serve the MRO requirements of this region’s rotorcraft fleet.” Uniflight Northeast is seeking technical talent, especially factory-trained mechanics with experience on Eurocopter’s twin-engine models (EC135, EC145, BK117, BO105 and AS365) as well as the Bell 407 and 430.
