Cessna Aircraft has announced that Atlas Air Service, its Citation authorized sales representative in Germany, is opening a service center at Bremen Airport. The $14.8 million facility is one of the largest authorized Citation service centers in Europe. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Atlas managing director Michael Laux said, “Given the rapid growth of Europe’s Citation fleet, this facility is three times larger than our former Bremen service center.” According to a Cessna spokesman, Germany is the largest market in the European Union for Citations. The new 43,000-sq-ft facility can accommodate up to 12 Citations simultaneously. In addition to the hangar workspace the facility includes office space, a representative sales office and an automated, computer-controlled parts facility with twice the capacity of its predecessor. Atlas Air Service delivered more than 50 Citations to European customers in 2007 and 2008. The company also operates Cessna service centers in Germany at Paderborn and Ganderkesee.
