The General Dynamics Aviation Services (GDAS) facility at Barnes Municipal Airport in Westfield, Mass., recently had its Hawker Beechcraft authorized service center (ASC) designation renewed. In 2006 it became the first facility so designated and remains the only such facility in the northeast United States. The current designation expires in 2012. 

The authorization allows the facility to perform warranty-related work, maintenance and alterations on all Hawker Beechcraft Hawker 125 series and Hawker 4000s. The company has 32 mechanical, avionics and structural technicians on site, including two Hawker Beechcraft field service representatives. The company offers repair and overhaul, avionics work, interiors refurbishment, nondestructive testing and 24-hour AOG service.
