Arab Wings has stepped up its expansion plans by taking delivery of a new Bombardier Challenger 605 just before the EBACE show opened. The Jordanian charter operator is also applying for an aircraft operator’s certificate in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where it is about to launch a sister company called Gulf Wings from a base in Sharjah.
The Challenger 605, which is the 10th aircraft in the Arab Wings fleet, will operate out of both the Jordanian capital Amman and the UAE. Its cabin is fitted out for 12 passengers.

“Our expansion is a true reflection of our dedicated commitment to offer the best in the private aviation field, especially in the management of private jets,” said Arab Wings general manager Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh. “With our new base in Sharjah, we will have more flexibility operating from new stations, offering the same quality and variety of services out of that region, too.”

Arab Wings (Booth No. 1359) is arguably the oldest business aircraft operator in the Middle East, having been launched in 1975 as a subsidiary of the Royal Jordanian airline. It is a sister company to the Royal Jordanian Air Academy and the Queen Noor Civil Aviation Technical College.
