Rapid growth at Precision Aviation Group’s two Canadian subsidiaries prompted the addition of a new facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. The newly opened 15,000-sq-ft facility consolidates two locations, one at Vancouver International Airport and the other in Surrey, both of which had reached maximum capacity, according to Precision Aviation president David Mast. The consolidation puts Precision Heliparts Canada and Precision Accessories & Instruments Canada in the same facility. “The new facility is almost double the size of the previous one,” said Mast, “and the integration will provide better turn times for customers using our MRO services. In addition to upgrading our facilities, we have made substantial capital investments in tooling, equipment and logistics to better serve our customer base and provide a solid foundation for continued growth in Canada.” Precision Aviation Group’s 40 technicians processed more than 30,000 accessories, instruments and avionics units last year, and during the past three years business has grown more than 50 percent.
