Global Jet Services is now offering its Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) Course 1 Basic Electronics online. The interactive course lets students learn at their convenience via any Internet-connected computer. The AET course covers basic AC and DC terms, understanding of circuit theory calculations, troubleshooting and the function of electrical components. Students are also taught the proper selection, usage and storage of meters. After passing the course, students receive Inspection Authorization and FAA AMT Awards Program learning credit for eight hours. “Comprehension of electronics systems is the weakest point for most technicians,” said Global Jet president J.D. McHenry. “The AET course breaks the material down to its simplest form so it is easily digested and retained by anyone, be it an aircraft or avionics technician. The online learning environment allows students to learn at their own pace, in a non-threatening, comfortable atmosphere.” Global Jet’s AET Basic Electronics course is recognized by accrediting organization National Center for Aerospace & Transportation Technologies.
