The U.S. subsidiaries of the Mecaer Group of Italy and Aerolite Max Bucher of Switzerland have signed a cooperative agreement to market emergency medical service (EMS) completions for the AgustaWestland A109 and AW139 from a facility at Northeast Philadelphia Airport (PNE).
The Mecaer Group’s aerospace division is SEI Servizi Elicotterisitici Italiani SpA., with its U.S. subsidiary known as SEI of America, while the U.S. subsidiary of the Swiss company is named Aerolite America.
Last year, SEI of America opened a Part 145 repair station on PNE. It will expand this facility and its EMS capabilities as part of its agreement with Aerolite. The Mecaer Group is presenting the pair’s new completion capabilities at NBAA’08 this week at Booth No. 4073.
Walter Teiler, v-p of Aerolite America, described the agreement as making “good business sense” given the experience of SEI with components, major subassemblies and completions, and Aerolite’s experience with more than 200 helicopter medical interiors, including the AgustaWestland Grand, AW139 and MD 902 airframes as well as the EC 135 and 145.
