It now appears that the launch of another new Gulfstream–the G250, a successor to the super-midsize G200–is nearing and could possibly come at the NBAA Convention next month. Gulfstream has trademarked the model names G225, G250 and G275, but indications are that the company has chosen the G250 moniker. The Web site of Boynton Beach, Fla.-based Aircraft Investment Group, which specializes in sales of pre-owned Gulfstreams, lists the G250 as part of the “full line of Gulfstream private jets.” The G250 is expected to address some of the G200’s shortcomings, namely range and runway performance, by incorporating a redesigned wing leading edge, complete with a bleed-air anti-icing system, and a new T-tail, industry sources told AIN. The new model is also said to have Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics. Gulfstream wouldn’t confirm or deny the existence of the G250.
