With the ink still wet on its FAA certificate, the super-midsize Embraer Legacy flies above Florida’s intercoastal waterway en route to Orlando. It had already received approval from its native Brazil and Europe’s JAA. FAA approval clears the way for the first U.S. deliveries of the model, scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of this year. Based on the ERJ-145 regional jet, the $20.4 million Legacy has a dance card with 71 firm orders and 93 options.
