DeCrane Aircraft Holding’s Cabin Management Group continues to grow and, in particular, to expand its furniture and cabinetry capabilities. In the past year, its subsidiary specialists–Carl F. Booth, Custom Woodwork and Plastics, DeCrane Cabin Interiors, Infinity Partners, Newco and Precision Pattern–have contributed furniture and cabinetry components for one VIP-configured 777, two BBJs and one BBJ2. “The enhanced cabinetry capability is another step toward total cabin capability for VIP aircraft,” said CEO Jack DeCrane. “Our increased activity and success with furniture and cabinetry for large VIP aircraft has led to enhanced engineering and manufacturing capability for these highly customized products,” he added.

Meanwhile, DeCrane Aircraft Systems Integration Group yesterday announced delivery of its first BBJ2 executive interior completion. The interior finish work was done at DeCrane’s Georgetown, Del. facility, formerly PATS. DeCrane Aircraft Holdings of El Segundo, Calif. (Booth No. 1133), is best known as a complete provider of interior components, from seating and cabinetry to entertainment systems and panels, and has begun installing those components as a completion center only in the past two years. The BBJ2 interior project was completed in 10 months, using interior components provided by six divisions of the DeCrane Aircraft Systems Integration Group. The FAA approval flight was on September 6.
