Wing Aviation recently began construction of a 54,000-sq-ft facility to house its new Gulfstream maintenance center at the Montgomery County Airport in Conroe, Texas, located approximately 45 mi north of Houston. The new facility is scheduled to open in April 2002.

“As aircraft owners for many years, we experienced challenges of scheduling efficient service and maintenance,” said company president John Wing. “We felt there weren’t enough facilities in the country to meet the demands of corporate aircraft, so we created a destination that has it all.”

When completed, the new Wing Aviation facility will incorporate a wide variety of services for Gulfstream and other corporate aircraft. An FAA repair station, Wing Aviation currently offers major airframe and powerplant repair, TCAS installation, custom component fabrication, fatigue and corrosion testing, and nondestructive testing services for various Gulfstream models. These services will be conducted in the new facility as well as interior and exterior painting and refurbishment, avionics installations, and FBO and line services for all models of corporate aircraft.

Wing Aviation’s facilities will also feature amenities for flight crews and passengers including spacious lounges with televisions and VCRs, a gym and locker rooms. Standard FBO services such as fueling, hangar storage, ground power units, full-service catering and aircraft cleaning will also be offered.
