Chad is the editor of AINalerts, AIN's daily business aviation newsletter, and is also the news editor at AIN Media Group.&nbsp;He has been writing about aviation, with an emphasis on business aviation, since 1994. Chad started his writing career at The Avion,&nbsp;the&nbsp;student newspaper at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, serving as editor-in-chief before graduating with a bachelor's in aeronautical science. After a stint as managing editor at Professional Pilot&nbsp;magazine, he joined&nbsp;AIN in late 1998. Chad holds a commercial pilot certificated with instrument and multi-engine ratings, and he also is a CFI/CFII. He lives and works from his home in Venice, Florida.

Bombardier today announced substantial changes to its aerospace group leadership team, most notably naming auto industry veteran Guy Hachey Bombardier Aerospace’s new president and COO, effective May 12. A transition period will follow until June 4, when Pierre Beaudoin, Bombardier Aerospace’s current president and COO, will take over the position of president and CEO of parent company Bombardier, as previously announced last fall. Before joining Bombardier, Hachey was the vice president of Delphi and president of Delphi Powertrain Systems, which are both suppliers to General Motors. Bombardier also appointed Gary Scott president of Bombardier Commercial Aircraft, a new business unit integrating regional aircraft and new commercial aircraft program business units; Steve Ridolfi president of Bombardier Business Aircraft; and James Hoblyn president of Bombardier Aircraft Services. Ridolfi, the current president of Bombardier Regional Aircraft, will replace Pierre Côté, who is leaving Bombardier Aerospace on July 18 to assume the CEO role at SFK Pulp.
