Beginning this month, Cutter Aviation will assume FBO operations from WingsPoint Aviation Services at McKinney Airport in McKinney, Texas. The facility is the seventh for the family-operated chain. Will Cutter, CEO, said, “This is a strategic move for Cutter that expands our FBO ‘footprint’ throughout the Southwest.”

Cutter also has locations in Albuquerque, N.M.; Deer Valley and Phoenix, Ariz.; and El Paso, Dallas and San Antonio, Texas.

CEO Cutter believes the acquisition of the WingsPoint leasehold is a step in the right direction. “As of 1991, more than a dozen of the world’s largest companies have moved their headquarters to the [McKinney Airport] area. As more companies have come to McKinney to do business, more have stayed. In fact, 86 percent of the companies in the Richardson, Plano and Allen corridor are closer to McKinney than they are to Dallas airports.” Cutter Aviation is also a member of the Pinnacle Air Network group of FBOs.
