Eclipse Aviation announced at EBACE that it has won an order for 180 Eclipse 500s from a single customer. Eastern European-based Etirc Aviation Europe, a sales, service and support company, had previously ordered 40 Eclipse 500s for sale in Eastern Europe. Etirc also said it entered into a partnership with Atasay to handle sales of the Eclipse 500 in Turkey, thereby making Etirc (and its agents) the exclusive dealer of the Eclipse 500 for most of Eastern Europe and Russia, including all the Commonwealth of Independent States. According to Eclipse, Etirc will serve as the lead on aircraft certification efforts in the region as well. The deal brings Eclipse’s order book to just under 2,700 aircraft, including options.
