For the first time, AIN is identifying which aircraft have been added to or deleted from the “In The Works” charts because of the volume of changes this month.

The deletions: Cessna Citation CJ2+, certified on October 3; and Safire Jet, which is being put “on the shelf” due to a lack of progress since Safire Aircraft declared bankruptcy in June 2003.

Added aircraft (all announced at the NBAA Convention last month): Airbus A318 Elite; Bombardier Challenger 605; Bombardier Learjet 60XR; Cessna Citation Encore+; Dassault Falcon 2000DX; Raytheon Hawker 850XP; and Spectrum Aeronautical Model 33. All are derivative aircraft except for the Spectrum 33, which is a clean-sheet very light jet design from a start-up manufacturer.

Other notable changes to the chart include the renaming of Embraer’s very light jet and light jet offerings to the Phenom 100 and 300, respectively. Embraer revealed those names at the NBAA Convention.

Dropping out of next month’s “In The Works” charts because they are now certified will be the Piaggio Avanti II, Dassault Falcon 900DX, Gulfstream G150 and Sino Swearingen SJ30-2.
